There are stories that can cause a lot of indignation to many because of the cruelties that humans are capable of doing, they continually abandon and mistreat animals and nobody seems to do anything.
Fortunately for Champion this was different. There are still people who care about animals like him who have been abandoned. For a long time they wander the streets without food or shelter.
Champion was found in a very unfortunate state , he had a serious skin disease, malnutrition, but the most important thing is that he was afraid of everything, he was no longer fighting for his life, he had lost hope.
The organization that rescued Champion is MUSA, the United Movement for Animal Salvation. Since 2012 they have rescued animals in the province of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas in Ecuador.
MUSA has shared a video where you can see the recovery progress that Champion has had since he was rescued until today and the transformation is most impressive.
«This model and example of the fight against abandonment taught us a lesson, it survived in the face of contempt and indifference. Today, after 4 months, Champion, fully recovered, is looking for the perfect home where he is given love, protection and respect .”
« This fighter won the race against mistreatment, in terrible health conditions, and with no desire to live, we found him in a garbage dump. Like few we feel his pain, more than his wounds, that of inequity and injustice ».
The “United Movement for Animal Salvation”-MUSA, is the product of the union of young people and adults, who, aware of the reality of abuse and the number of stray animals in poor conditions, have chosen to rescue them, in order to prevent them from die and suffer the consequences, such as: living on the streets, reproducing indiscriminately, dying of hunger, hit by vehicles, among others.
«At first we have rescued 1 or 2 dogs, but due to the lack of a place where they can be recovered and then given up for adoption, temporary homes have been created, the same ones that have been our homes, which we have conditioned to be able to provide a little help .”
« Currently we have rescued more than a hundred dogs that lived on the streets without any help, only with self-management and the contribution of volunteers, donors and the help of transit homes.»
«We work for those on the street, for the mistreated, for the abandoned, for those who have no home or health. And we will continue working to get them off the street, to offer them love and good treatment, to find them a home where they are truly loved .”
