Most of the time, animals are considered less than humans because of their inability to understand. Of course, their cognitive function is different from that of humans. However, there are cases where these animals can also display superior intelligence, patience and ᴅɪsᴄɪᴘʟɪɴᴇ.
The photo below that has gone ᴠɪʀᴀʟ on the net certainly ᴀᴍᴀᴢᴇᴅ many netizens as they witnessed how these dogs patiently queued for food. According to Elite Readers, the photo was taken inside a dog academy in China, where canine owners are taught to be highly ᴅɪsᴄɪᴘʟɪɴᴇd in their work.
The photo shows an amazing level of ‘selfless obedience and patience’ as the dogs are waiting in a perfectly straight line as they wait for someone to refill their food bowls.
Each dog holds a metal plate in its mouth to get food. Food was served to the pups served in those plates. Also, the puppies appear to have been trained to hold their plates. Sheet metal can be quite heavy. This is especially so for dogs.
Coincidentally, another picture with the same subject also surfaced on the internet. The photo was reported to have taken in Finland at around 1940. It can be seen that a long queue of patient patrol service dogs are waiting for their food with their bowls in their mouths.
Pᴏʟɪᴄᴇ dogs undergo some of ᴛʜᴇ ᴛᴏᴜɢʜᴇsᴛ training in the world. There are different specializations for service dogs. Bᴏᴍʙ ᴅɪsᴘᴏsᴀʟ, ᴅʀᴜɢ ᴛʀᴀꜰꜰɪᴄᴋɪɴɢ and ʀᴇsᴄᴜᴇ ᴏᴘᴇʀᴀᴛɪᴏɴs are just a few examples. Their keen sense of smell makes them very ᴀᴅᴠᴀɴᴛᴀɢᴇᴏᴜs. They are also extremely loyal to their handlers. Moreover, even the ᴍɪʟɪᴛᴀʀʏ ᴛʀᴀɪɴs ᴅᴏɢs.On the other hand, Bringing a feeder when they are hungry and waiting patiently to be served is not unique to Pᴏʟɪᴄᴇ dogs, it is something many pets instinctively do. If yours is one of them, we’d love to see it in action on our forum.
And given that dogs are so smart and capable of learning ᴀᴍᴀᴢɪɴɢ ᴛʀɪᴄᴋs, it wouldn’t be surprising if we ate with a knife and fork very early on.
